MARKETING COORDINATOR

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Coordinator should be a passionate professional with marketing and event planning experience. Their job will be to promote our firm and its practice areas through developing and instituting marketing campaigns, creating website and social media content, and helping to facilitate the creation of new marketing materials.

In addition, this role will help us plan and organize special events including community and professional speaking engagements, our annual conference, and other networking opportunities. An outgoing personality and the ability to collaborate successfully with people to build relationships are essential for this role.

POSITION PURPOSE:

To perform a wide variety of duties to elevate the firm’s status in the legal, long-term care, and disability communities. Coordinate with the firm’s elder care coordinators and attorneys regarding upcoming networking and speaking opportunities to promote visibility and enhance our business relationships with the elder care community. Promote our firm and increase brand awareness through marketing campaigns, website, and social media.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Help formulate, develop, and execute a marketing and outreach strategy for the firm.
  • Represent firm throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area at events.
  • Build referral relationships and collaborate with partners on events that promote firm recognition and enhance client relations.
  • Create a content calendar for social media platforms. Collaborate with internal and external resources to develop and publish content for website and social media. Maintain maser schedule of events.
  • Coordinate and facilitate speaking engagements, hosted internally or externally.
  • Plan and organize annual conference/symposium and special events for clients and referral sources.
  • Develop contact lists of referral sources, clients, and contacts and help with implementation of constant contact campaigns.
  • Identify and implement public relations campaigns to highlight firm and its employees, such as articles, interviews, etc.
  • Develop and maintain marketing collateral (resources, brochures, giveaways, etc.).
  • Upon request and as required research and provide competitive intelligence.
  • Coordinate CLEs or CEUs for firm sponsored seminars and the “Lunch and Learn” series.
  • Assist in registering, tracking, and reporting CEU credits for speaking engagements to professional audiences.

This position may be for you if you have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related major is preferred, but not required.
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in marketing and event planning is preferred.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and social media strategy, execution, and monitoring.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills exhibiting a high degree of accuracy.
  • Attention to detail. 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain electronic calendaring system according to timelines and importance of tasks.
  • Ability to work and build strong relationships cross-functionally and with external resources. 
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities; ability to multi-task and track assigned projects.
  • Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or Products, in particular PowerPoint.
  • Experience with PracticeMaster & Law Firm based document management systems is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Full-time
Expected hours: 40 per week.
